What should I expect during the course of treatment?
To begin with, Dr. Eugene will need to make an assessment on your teeth to see if the Inman aligner will be a suitable form of treatment. If so, moulds of your mouth are taken so the aligner can be made.
When fitting the Inman Aligner, two small tooth-coloured buttons will be attached to your teeth to help guide the springs on the plate. You be reviewed every 2 weeks during the course of treatment and adjustment will be made to the plate and your teeth.
Once your teeth are straightened
Retainers will be made and fitted to keep your teeth in their ideal position. Most of the time a bonded retainer is recommended – this a thin wire bonded to the back of your front teeth to prevent their movement.
The Inman Aligner only suitable for slightly crooked front teeth and therefore very limited in its use. A lot of times Dr. Eugene will use it in combination with veneers – getting your teeth into a better position first, before reshaping them with porcelain or plastic veneers.
